Sometimes as an organization, you want to notify your users about new applications, outages, or any other relevant information happening in your Okta tenant. Okta provides a feature to allows sending massive notifications. Okta allows you to select send a message to Everyone or select a targeting audience for Groups or Users.

Below is a sample screenshot of the steps to send one.

  1. Log in to your Okta admin tenant, click Dashboard > Notifications > Send New Message

2. Select the option you need. Okta allows you to send messages to everyone, groups, or users. If you select Groups and Users you can choose both and put your message.

3 Select everyone and key a message in the Text Input section. Once your message is completed, click Send Message.

4. Now log in with an end-user to verify how the message is displayed to them.

5. As an end-user, click Notifications

6. Now you will see the message sent by the Okta administrators.
