CA Technologies buying identity management service Xceedium

IT software provider CA Technologies is stocking up on identity resources with the acquisition of Xceedium.

Founded in 2000, the private company provides privileged identity management solutions optimized for on-premise, cloud and hybrid IT environments.
Xceedium is based just outside of Washington, D.C. in Reston, Virginia, also maintaining offices in Canada’s capital city Ottawa as well as New Jersey. Along with governmental organizations, Xceedium primarily caters to customers in finance, retail and manufacturing.

CA Technologies, which moved its headquarters to New York City last year, highlighted Xceedium’s Xsuite platform in Tuesday’s announcement as it will be integrated with the CA Privileged Identity Manager to offer more well-defined roles and access across hybrid cloud deployments.
