Configuring SMTP Notifications in Oracle Identity manager 11gR2

By default the Oracle Identity Manager SMPT functionality is disabled. You need to follow the next steps to enable it and start receiving notifications.

1. Go to the Enterprise Manager (EM) ( http://your-server:7001/em/) and Navigate to Application Deployments >> OIMAppMetadata(11.1.2.0.0)(oim_server1)

2. Right click on OIMAppMetadata and select System MBean Browser

3. In the MBean browser go to Application Defined MBeans

4. From the Application Defined Mbeans expand it and go to the oracle.iam >> Server: oim_server1 >> IAMAppRuntimeMBean and expand it

5. Click on the EmailNotificationProviderMBean and check the change the next attributes
– Attribute 5 >> Email Notification Provider enabled >> true
– Attribute 10 >> Email Notification Provider mail server name >> your-email-server.com

6. Apply you changes and test it
