Forgerock released of OpenAM 11.0

The latest release includes advanced features for secure mobile and cloud application development and deployment.

Product Highlights:

Enhanced Session Failover. Ensures high-scale session resiliency across complex, multi-site deployments. Configuring Session Failover now simply requires ticking a checkbox in the web administration console.

Mobile and Device Authentication. OpenAM now has a new Adaptive Authentication Device-Fingerprinting module to define and detect trusted devices. In addition, OpenAM supports using a mobile device as 2nd-factor authentication, and can generate one-time passwords and soft-tokens to meet strong authentication requirements.

OpenID Connect: The Lastest Federation Standard. OpenAM 11.0 is the first access management solution to fully support OpenID Connect 1.0 for mobile single sign-on. Because it is based on OAuth 2.0, it provides a REST-based protocol that integrates easily with applications on any kind of device, including smart phones, tablets, or any device with an IP address.

Developer-Friendly REST API Enhancements. With a rich set of REST APIs, OpenAM provides out-of-the-box support for mobile and web applications. New RESTful web services are available for authentication, identity management, profile management, session management, Integrated Windows Authentication, and more.

OpenAM 11.0 now fully supports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) in addition to IPv4 and now fully supports Java 7 environments.
