GlobalSign has acquired Finnish identity and access management (IAM) software developer Ubisecure Solutions Inc., the companies announced Tuesday. GlobalSign plans to integrate Ubisecure’s software into its Internet of Things (IoT) identity services platform as it attempts to establish itself as a leader in the growing Internet of Things market.

Ubisecure’s technologies for access control, single sign-on (SSO), federation and delegation services are used by a number of government agencies, financial institutions and enterprises in Europe. GlobalSign, the security division of GMO Internet Group, has a worldwide presence, including over 5,000 distributors of its digital certificates in over 100 countries.
