Industry Thought Leaders Share Identity and Access Management Best Practices

Aveksa, Inc., the leading provider of Business-Driven Identity and Access Management solutions, today announced that it recently hosted the 2012 Identity and Access Management eSymposium consisting of multiple online tracks designed to provide enterprises with IAM best practices. The live event, which was held on June 19, 2012, drew over 300 registered attendees and featured multiple presentations including a keynote presentation from experienced practitioners. It also included IAM-related presentations from industry thought leaders such as Aveksa Founder and CTO Deepak Taneja and Art Poghosyan, Managing Director of Advancive Technology Solutions, and case studies from multiple Aveksa customers. The keynote for the eSymposium, entitled “Business-Driven Identity Management: Are You On Track?,” featured a panel of senior-level IT Security executives who explored and debated past and future approaches to Identity Management, recommended approaches that have been successful for their organizations and discussed the advantages of a business-driven approach to Identity and Access Management. The keynote session was moderated by Craig Shumard, CISO Emeritus of Cigna, and featured three Aveksa customers as guest panelists– Tom Van Winkle, Director of Information Security at Alliance Data Retail Services, Karen Kemp, Director of Operational Risk at Direct Energy and Daniel Poliquin, Principal, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
