Lepide Active Directory Self Service (LADSS) is a web-based Active Directory self-service solution, which allows end users to reset password, unlock account and update personal information in the Windows Active Directory. Alternatively, domain users can also authorize co-workers to perform these tasks in their absence; thus, completely eliminating the need to call or raise IT tickets to system administrators or help desk personnel for password/account management tasks.
Following are the steps required for the installation:
1. Download the software
You can download it from http://www.lepide.com/active-directory-self-service/download.html
2. Start the installation from the ladss.exe file downloaded.
3. Select Next on the Welcome window
4. Accept the license agreement and click next
5. Specify the web server port and click next
6. Select the destination location and click next
7. Select start menu folder and click next
8. Select additional task and click next
9. At this point you are ready to install. Click Install button
10. Wait for the installation to be completed
11. Click next on the completion window to start running the application
12. Open a browser to the application url
a. http://localhost:7777/LADSS/
13. Now you are ready to start configuring the tool. On this screen you can access as an admin or user to start your active directory password operations.
14. Remember the first step after the installation is to configure you domain.Below a screenshot of the admin page.
