Installing Quest One Quick Connect Sync Engine from the Dell Identity Management Suite

One of the Dell Identity Management suit is the Quick Connect. Quick Connect synchronizes identity data (users, groups and supporting data for roles) enterprise-wide to support a unified and intelligent approach to identity and access management. This product has connectors for Active Directory, AS/400, PeopleSoft, and Cloud among others.

The quest one quick connect product required the following components installed:
• Quest One Quick Connect Sync Engine
o This is required for any of the connectors available
• Quest One Quick Connect Connector
o You can find connectors for different systems
? RACF, SQL Server, Oracle, Office 365, etc.

Following the steps required for the initial installation Quest One Quick Connect Sync Engine:

1. Download and start the Quest One Quick Connect Sync Engine Windows Installer
2. Click Next

3. Accept terms and Click Next

4. Select the location and Click Next

5. Introduce the Service Account which you want to run quick connect and Click Next

6. Click Next in the Ready to Install Screen

7. Click Finish in the Finish Screen

8. At this point Quest One Quick Connect has been installed and you are ready to start the configuration

The Configuration will create an Execution & Configuration database for the Product. After that you will be ready to install the Connectors required for your company.
