Microsoft Confirms It Has Acquired Adallom To Boost Its Cloud Identity And Security
Microsoft is confirming today, that it has acquired Adallom — a cloud security startup with offices in Palo Alto, California, and Tel Aviv and over $50 Million in Venture Capital backing. The confirmation comes two months after rumours started coming in of a potential $320 Million deal between the two companies.
Adallom’s advanced cloud security software is being used by companies such as Dropbox, Google Apps, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Box, and Salesforce to monitor their own cloud-based services. Adallom’s software basically helps enterprise like the ones mentioned above, to spot any present or future anomalies by tracking a user’s usage pattern over a specific period of time.
