Security software company NetIQ has released the latest version of its single sign-on (SSO) virtual appliance for SaaS, CloudAccess 2.0. The offering extends existing identity and access management (IAM) processes beyond the firewall to include SaaS applications.

Analyst house Gartner has cited this as a particular challenge for IT departments as SaaS adoption continues to grow and organisations must address the same IAM requirements for cloud-based tools as on-premise ones.
