Ovum SWOT Analysis of Hitachi ID’s Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Global IT research and analyst firm Ovum has recently published an evaluation of Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager (HiPAM). In the assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat (SWOT), Ovum points out that “Hitachi ID’s PAM has far greater scalability than other IAM platforms”.

Ovum recognizes that Hitachi ID’s offering places great importance on the machine-to-machine aspect of privileged access and further affirms that this feature is future-proofed. “Hitachi ID’s privileged access management product handles not only privileged access for system administrators but also inter-system communications in areas such the Internet of Things (IoT), or in managing service account passwords,” says Rik Turner, Senior Analyst for Infrastructure Solutions. Ovum maintains that the excellent scalability of the Hitachi ID PAM solution is a critical requirement in an increasingly cloud-based and mobile landscape.
