Dell One Password Manager ( formerly Quest One Password Manager ) provides the following components that can be installed in your organization:

Password Manager.

This component install the Administration, Self-Service and Help Desk Web sites used to access the Password Manager Functionality.

Password Manager for AD LDS

This component install the Administration, Self-Service and Help Desk Web sites used to access the Password Manager Functionality for AD LDS.

Secure Password Extension

Secure Password Extension is a component that provides one-click access to the complete functionality of the Self-Service site from the Windows logon screen. Secure Password Extension also provides dialog boxes displayed on end-user computers, these dialog boxes notify users who must create or update their Questions and Answers profiles with Password Manager.

Offline Password Reset

This component allows the users reset their forgotten passwords even when they are not connected to the Internet and Active Directory. This significantly reduces the potential lockout time, eliminates the need for administrative assistance, and cuts down the helpdesk workload.

Password Policy Manager

Password Policy Manager (PPM) is an independently deployed component of Password Manager.
Password Policy Manager is necessary to enforce password policies configured in Password Manager in such cases, when users change their passwords using tools other than Password Manager.
