Even before the pandemic shifted learning online, schools had been integrating technologies to improve various admin processes, student onboarding, classroom learning experiences and communication methods. Once COVID-19 impacted the education system, teaching without the use of technology was simply no longer an option.
However, this transition to remote technologies has made school employees and students of all ages that much more vulnerable to cyberattacks. The learning process revolves around resource sharing: from teacher to student, student to student, student to teacher, teacher to parent and so on. It’s a complex and ongoing cycle. But when users share passwords, or access is not securely monitored, the level of cybersecurity is immediately weakened.
