Cloud identity management provider Okta has received FedRAMP certification with Department of Justice sponsorship, meeting compliance requirements of more than 300 controls.<\/p>\n
\u201cFedRAMP is considered the gold standard, with the most stringent set of security controls for cloud companies,\u201d said Mark Settle, CIO at Okta. \u201cOkta\u2019s achievement of FedRAMP certification will make it easy for government agencies to attain the benefits of the cloud\u2014improved user experience, productivity, security and cost savings\u2014for the public at scale and with great impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Settle, cloud capabilities are becoming increasingly important for expanding and enabling application access outside agency networks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe talk about the world being always on these days,\u201d said Settle, adding that people need more and more flexibility in accessing applications when not using company devices. \u201cThe distinctions between work life and private life have blurred.\u201d<\/p>\n
