PAM-focused survey reveals remarkable lack of adherence to best practices<\/h2>\n

Read the results of One Identity\u2019s global survey of more than 900 IT security professionals to see how the widespread use of poor PAM processes puts organizations at risk for breaches.<\/p>\n

The survey found that many organizations do not adhere to basic best practices \u2014 such as individual accountability for privileged users, secure password management and the use of a single management tool \u2014 which is concerning given that many high-profile breaches involved compromised privileged credentials.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a sampling of survey results:
\n\u2022\t18 percent of respondents admit to using paper-based logs to manage privileged credentials
\n\u2022\tA surprising 36 percent use spreadsheets to manage privileged credentials
\n\u2022\t32 percent said they are unable to assign individual accountability to users of admin credentials
\n\u2022\t46 percent don\u2019t change the default admin password<\/p>\n
